Is This A Real Scotty Cameron Putter?
Alright. i just received a scotty cameron studio select newport 2. ive been checking on sites and ive found that this club seems real. the shaft does not say "true temper " anywhere, theres no white dots on the grip, and the club detail sticker is below the shaft. the grip is wrapped in plastic, and so is the head. Custom Scotty Cameron Putter Question/advice?!?
I have a 1998 scotty cameron teryllium newport 2 long neck putter.. (scottycameron.com/ putters/ archivedetail.aspx?id= 78 &modelid= 130 &seasonid= 11) that out of rage years back in a high school state final match i blew a putt wide to win and consequently broke the shaft in half, haha.anyway i got a new putter the next year and forgot about it. recently i was doing some cleaning and found the putter. i would like to give it another try so i am sending it into the scotty cameron custom shop to have it returned to its former glory, shaft and all. however my question is to you, since i 'm sending it into scotty to get it reshafted and regriped. should i get it stamped with my name on either side? its going to cost $60 to have it done, but im not worried about the money im worried about it getting stolen, if its as rare these days as people tell me it is, should i have it stamped or just forget about it becuase its not worth it?thanks for the adviceposed some pictures on golfwrx.comgolfwrx.com/ forums/ topic/ 452814-custom-scotty-cameron-putter-questionadvicehelp/ page__p__3042884__fromsearch__1#entry3042884 (Read answers)
